Kalakriti’s aim is to bring a positive experience to the clients and society at large with no short term goals and perspectives. Our motive is to bring the best fabric to the end user, carefully crafted by the local weavers and artisans of different states of India. We wish to bring sustainable livelihood to the artisans by providing a rich platform to their handmade & well-crafted fabrics. We offer training, skill development and connect them with the local N. G. O’s. We provide assistance to the artisans in honing their craft.
In short, our purpose is beyond simply doing business for profit. We are here to fulfill a higher mission which in turn creates demand and drives profitability as a natural by- product. We strive to closely monitor the evolving needs of today’s customer and provide them with superior finished, well-articulated and precise quality products.
West Bengal is known for its rich textile heritage. Our exquisite pieces are sourced directly from the weavers who take pride in their work ensuring that each piece is a work of art and a masterpiece. We have an iconic collection of intricate Jamdanis, Murshidabad silk, ancient Baluchari weaves, skilled kantha stitch, simple cotton tants and muslin sarees which carry the charm of tradition from West Bengal. These sarees are credited with special GI tag by West Bengal cooperative Society and few of them are from India’s best-known weavers who are accredited with President’s Award and the Shilp Guru.
Our exquisite suit pieces from Sanganer, Jaipur, Surat, Varanasi and Punjab have been crafted with care featuring intricate patterns and high quality fabric.
The iconic collection includes rich hand block Baghru, sanghaneri, Dabu, Kalamkari, indigo and Ajrakh prints on cotton fabrics. Leheriya and Bandhej silk, cotton and georgette fabrics, Gaji silk, Kota Doriya, Gota Patti work, Pakistani and Phulkari suit pieces, Chanderi cottons and muslin silk from Varanasi. We have a very good collection of soft breathable and stunning pure cotton and mulmul sarees.
